Chiron Retrograde

On the 19th July 2022 the asteroid Chiron joins Saturn, Pluto and Neptune in Retrograde where it will stay until 23rd December.

Chiron is not actually planet but an asteroid, its energy is potent and strong so a good one to work with, the origin story of Chiron is that he was a centaur that was abandoned at birth, he had to fend for himself and grow up alone, he suffered a lot of pain and difficulties, wounding him deeply, however he grew into a powerful healer, philosopher, teacher and

psychic. This is how he came to be known as the 'wounded healer'

Chiron reminds us that we all have the strength to turn our wounds into our power and that we all have suffered pain and trauma in some form but we can use this to our advantage, to grow and to evolve.

Chiron is positioned between Saturn and Uranus, this energy should be taken into consideration too - Saturn is grounded but Uranus is all about spiritual awakening and very high vibrational so Chiron is kind of a bridge between the two energies.

In ancient Egyptian Astrology, Chiron goes by another name- Anpu or Anubis, the god of the afterlife and lost souls.

Just like Chiron, Anubis was abandoned as a child. It was through this painful upbringing that Anubis was also able to rise up into the noble profession of the Guardian of the Underworld.

It was the job of Anubis to welcome the newly dead to the underworld and to guide them as they transition to the afterlife.

The energy that Chiron brings is a reminder that the healing journey can be painful but ultimately it brings gifts of wisdom, knowledge and power that can help us to step into our full potential.
